About Me

Hi, I'm Jo โ€” urban gardener, plant hoarder, and your resident soil-loving millennial!

I’m the kind of person who Googles “how to propagate” at midnight, impulse-buys plants I have absolutely no room for, and considers a new leaf unfurling to be a genuinely exciting event. While I’m currently manifesting a full homesteading life, complete with ducks, chickens, and unreasonable acreage of leafy greens and fresh tomatoes, for now, I grow in every pocket of space I can find. And honestly? That’s become the whole point.

Expertise & Experience

I’ve been growing plants for a decade, starting the way most of us do: with a stubborn snake plant, unrealistic expectations, and zero idea what “well-draining soil” actually meant.

The early years were full of classic beginner mistakes. Overwatered succulents, underlit ferns, a very dramatic fiddle leaf fig that made me question everything and questioning why my aroids struggle when I miss one watering session but thrive in the pavement cracks by the roadside.

But failures have a way of teaching you faster than success does, and somewhere between the root rot and the first real harvest (it was sweet basil), I got genuinely good at this.

Today I grow across three categories that I love equally and obsess over differently:

  1.  Big-leaf native and low-maintenance indoor plants
  2. Aroids and tropical plants
  3. Edibles and fresh produces – herbs, leafy greens, hardy vegetables.

At Letโ€™s Grow, Baby, we know that no two plants are exactly the same. Every plant is as unique as a child and some thrive in absolute neglect (talking about you, snake plant) while others demand the sound of Beethoven and organic manure at exactly 4.58pm. Frustrating? I know it can be, so I’m here to help!
